Thoughts and Its Owners

March 22nd, 2019

Simultaneous assimilation of several streams of information generates in the consciousness of a person one combined continuous stream, in which numerous meanings of "channels" become a new one.

Each person has his own unique life experience, on the basis of which we interpret information coming from the external environment. Because of this unique background, we see the world around us in different ways, so one thought can never be equally perceived by two people.

In the installation "Thoughts and Its Owners", we used quotes from the works of Isaac Asimov, which served as the basis for the creation of the installation, the meaning of which lies in the metaphorical interpretation of the words that emerged. Each person composes phrases from the fragments shown by him, the analysis process of which is carried out by searching for associative constructions in his personal life experience. Thus, in our project, we draw attention to how knowledge transmitted by another person can never be interpreted in the same way. However, it is the basis for the development and formation of new planes of human consciousness.
